I'm an average club runner who didn't run in college, and currently two weeks out from my first half marathon with a focused build. I'm new to racing, and I'm posting on here because I would love to get some time predictions to help put some pace goals in place.
I had a healthy and consistent 16 week block, and averaged around 85 mpw and topped out at 93. Bellow are some of my sessions for the last few weeks.
Session 1.) Am: 8xK off 90 sec working down to 2:57, PM; 4mi @ 5:11/mi
Session 2.) 5k solo effort in 15:00.3
Session 6.) 10mi @ 5:21/mi AM, 4mi @5:15/PM
Session 4.) Am 2X3mi @ 5:05/mi off 3min record, 3mi @ 4:51/mi PM
Session 5.) 4mi @ 4:54/Mi
Session 3.) 7mi @ 5:12/mi
Appreciate any predictions, or advice on the how to taper for the last week. As you can maybe tell, I'm pulling this training out of my ass and making it up as I go along.
