Given the difference between your 400m pace and your 800m pace, versus the difference between your 800m pace and your 1600m pace, I would say that you are a fairly well-balanced (developing) 800m runner. With room for aerobic development over time, which could potentially result in significant 800m & mile improvements.
Your current PRs indicate a 6.5 sec difference between 400 - 800 pace. Let's say you take about 2 years from here, to significantly develop your 800m. Supposing that:
a) Aerobic development reduces the difference in your 400 - 800m to 4-4.5 sec, and
b) Your 400m speed is currently maxed out, or maybe you can improve your 400m by up to 1 sec over that training period.
Then -
Under these suppositions, this predicts a potential for somewhere between approx 1:42.8 - 1:45.8.
Or - knowing yourself as an athlete, maybe you feel that there is more room to develop in the 1500m.
With 48.4 speed (and possibly room to get faster if you are not maxed on your potential), then with 2-4+ years of dedicated mile training and the willingness/ability to run 80-100 mi/week without injury, there could be a possibility of getting down to the 3:30-3:35 range and who knows? Maybe sub 3:30 or faster.
Or - maybe this is your full potential already, where you are right now. Or - you are young and underdeveloped, your 400m can drop 3 sec, and with 3-4 years of training you end up dropping the first sub 1:40.
Only one way to find out ...
It’s a false dichotomy. You’re an 800 runner and could very well have equal ability in both 400 and 1500. If you have to choose one side to lean into, you should base it on what kind of training and racing you prefer, and/or which will help your team the most.

You are definitely the 800/mile type. Your 400 time won't even win a HS state championship in most states, while your mile time will get you a near-full ride scholarship almost anywhere.
Even still, however, your 48.4 represents that you have incredible speed for a miler
You can definitely run a competitive full mile and even dip under 4:00 with that 800 time
Age?
Height & weight?
Are we to assume high school senior? If you were a high school junior with that 800m time, wouldn't we have read about you? No one past a U.S. high school senior races 1600m.
We pretty much have age 3 to age 23 to max out 100m to 400m performances and not too much time past age 23 to max out 800m performances.
