Every time I come on this board, it’s always some distance runner whining and complaining about something. Life can’t be that bad can it?

I won’t deny that you see a lot of whiny posts. I just find it odd that you say “every.” I see lots of non-whiny posts.
Probably just regurgitating whiney news . Stop the WHINE
It's well documented that people drawn to distance running often have an inferiority complex with associated anger (Small Man's Syndrome). Those that feel put out, disrespected, and at the bottom of the social and sexual pecking order tend to complain most vocally. It's their only means of projecting a sense of power over things.

Somewhat true but it could just be it's a safe space to vent without being cancelled. Small Man's Syndrome is more common in weightlifting and other sports, IMO.
I like to hear honest opinions without repercussions

Clearly life is pretty bad for distance hobbysloggers. Slog jogging day in and out is neither fun nor does it make money (except for a vanishingly small fraction of runners) or help men look particularly attractive or help relationships or friends.
No wonder running a ton makes for a whiny loser.
one former poster, now possibly underground, made a 10-12 year career complaining here on LR. poster known as j@min.

So you came on here to whine and complain about it? Is your life that bad?
