Weather looks a bit warm for fastest times. Probably a slightly below average year in low 60s with decent humidity and tailwind. Lots of people are going to blow up but not as bad as some years.
Seriously though, racing would be way less fun and interesting if the weather was the sole barrier to a perfect race. Having a lot of factors outside of your control is...kind of the point.
Ohio runner here originally wanting to go for sub 2:40. Are you guys still going for times or dialing it back a little? 60s is definitely warm but not too hot.
Stop looking at apple weather. 50’s with dp in the 40’s and falling slightly as day progresses. See. People already making excuses. 15 degrees too warm? So you want it 38-42 at the start?

Since you keep prattling on about excuses, how about this?
What’s your PR? What is your training been like in this cycle? What’s your goal time? How can we verify these things?

I need it. After my injury in January my longest run is 14 miles. I got up to 16 before the injury and was in good shape (for me).
The weather looks great to me as I’m running in dew points in the mid to high 60s right now. 40 dew point is a dream and a little tailwind will be much appreciated.
Original goal was sub 3:05, now hoping I can hang on for 3:15 (I’m old).

Perfect for spectators. About 15 degrees too warm for runners.

My last New York City Marathon time qualifier was run in the 30s. I’m looking at Weather Channel. Most runners will be running their races in the 60s.
Btw, nobody gives a rat’s ass about anybody else’s time but their own.
Hopefully that cloud cover they're forecasting for Sunday sticks around for Monday too. Considering the race is run in the middle of the day and there's very little shade on course, it can get toasty with a tailwind and direct sun.
