I am a hobby jogger but I would like to run(and win) a local 5k.
I am increasing my mileage slowly, around 2 miles per week.
I currently run around 30 mpw and I started almost from zero in early February.
I sometimes think I should start increasing it by 3 miles per week but then again I am afraid that I will start disliking running if I push myself to hard.
What has been your fastest sustainable rate of improvement where you did not overtrain yourself to the point of wanting to give up?
