My pr is 52.8 in the 400 and 4:42 in the 1600. About what could I run in a good 800m race?

1:56-1:58? I had a kid with similar PR's run that.
splitting hairs with the poster above, but I'd say more like 1:58-2:01. maybe you didn't run the mile all that often so its super soft, but when I first broke 2 I ran 52.x and 4:36 in my only mile of the year. to predict a 1:56 I'd want to see either a bit faster 400m or a 4:30 mile.

The 800 is so weird. When I broke 2:00 I could only muster a 54.x relay split and 4:46 for the 1600m!
When my guy that ran 1:51 first broke through with a good performance, his 400 PR was sitting somewhere around 50.x but he hadn't even broken 4:45 for 1600 yet. He ran 1:54 in his "breakthrough" race (previously he'd been 1:58)

Didn't he run 47 a few days after though? I think I know who you might be talking about as I was there 😉
