Willis is presumably the only 30+ year-old clean medalist in the 1500m in the last 50 years. Does this have to do with the fact he was an absolutely dirty dog on the computer for years and then gave it up and found a whole new gear? Would giving up the vices help Centrowitz in the same way?
Debating this with a couple of Mr. Mentions and wanted to know what the LR brainiacs think.

Semen retention has been proven to add energy and stamina. I’m quite certain not cranking it gave him an extra gear or two over the final 100 meters in Rio.
Think it's just more common for a lot of guys to have moved up distances by then, not necessarily that the day you turn 30 you instantly lose the ability to run a fast 1500.

No, didn’t add to Nick Willis longevity nor did it make Nick’s willie longer.
As an Addict myself I'll note that he must have timed his addiction ideally relative to his training/recovery pursuits. Probably best to spank that monkey right after a hard workout so recovery or performance is not hindered. Cranking that wand pre workout is not an ideal form of training and will leave you with defunct quads or low energy in general.
Wan king actually increases testosterone levels. Semen retention is proven to turn your semen to jelly which does not help performance and is a known factor in giving runners those ‘jelly’ legs at the end of a race which is not useful when kicking at the end of a 1500. Hence why Nick medalled at Olympics prior to giving up his addiction. All those years of ‘training’ increased his longevity.

I'm 60 plus & spank the monkey every other day practically - sometimes earlier in the day before a later workout. 🙄
I workout 7 days a week training like a madman pumping iron & doing cardio HIIT (the Norwegian 4x4! 😲).
Despite being a physical specimen, I can't get a girl because I'm a sub-5 monster! 🤣
