She served her time. She is welcome to return in 10 months. Real criminlas sometimes commit dozens of crimes before being punished. She cheated at a game.
Nobody asks us to cheer for other criminals when they've served their time. Other criminals may serve time in jail and still be banned for life from practicing law, or being accountants, or coming within 200 feet of a school.
Shelby goes right back to the realm of her fraud, and we're supposed to hope she beats athletes who play by the rules?
I was kinda missing her and wishing her well after such a huge blow that is almost unique to this sport, but upon reflection, I think you're right, she should be killed.
She just posted an insta story about a 4:03 1500 time trial, saying she felt good but it was slower then she would like it to be.
I'm surprised that due to the length of this ban she hasn't moved on to something else in her life, or that she's training so hard now when January is still far away. A small part of me admires her tenacity but I mostly just don't understand it.
Shelbo your level of hubris is sorry. And anyone who supports you is myopic.
For the good of the sport go away.
You're training against the rules. You won't admit your cheating. At least Armstrong came clean.
Nobody wants you.
What do you mean training against the rules? She’s not allowed to run a time trial in practice?
You don’t speak for everyone. I want Shelby to come back. I’m counting down the days until her triumphant return. I’m looking forward to seeing haters like you cry when she starts winning and breaking records again.

It’s because she loves the sport so much. And I love her.
She served her time. She is welcome to return in 10 months. Real criminlas sometimes commit dozens of crimes before being punished. She cheated at a game.
Actually, she stole from others. She cheated people out of paychecks; out of medals; out of appearance fees; out of opportunities to compete in worldwide races.
It’s not just a game when it means the difference between someone making a mortgage payment or not. Me thinks your feeble mind may have a hard time comprehending that.
Correction: Shelby got cheated by the system. Shelby lost out on paychecks, medals, appearance fees, and opportunities to compete in worldwide races these last several years. Get it right.
2:02 hand timed, calls it her “first time trial of the week” indicating there will be more coming. It will be interesting to see the vibe when her ban is over (something like 9 months from now?). How will other pros feel about racing her?
Hopefully they throw burritos at her. Guaranteed that some folks in the stands will.
I'd even be happy to pay for the food truck to be on site giving away free burritos. Scratch that, free AUTHENTIC MEXICAN burritos. Eat 'em or throw 'em, it's up to you.
I told y'all the Brits are dirty. Should have been banned like Russia years ago. How y'all expect our clean athletes like Nuguse and Shelby to win when the Brits are allowed to compete? Should have let the Germans beat their limey asses at Agincourt. Next time, leave the Marines at home!

She is fooling us. She is likely 3 seconds faster over 800/4-5 seconds faster over 1500.
I am a Shelby fan and can’t wait to watch her come back and crush everyone. She’s been putting in serious work and will be ready. This board will be drenched with the tears of thousands of angry keyboard warriors trying to mask their pain with burrito jokes while Shelby tears up the track and brings the US home some medals.
Wow, I really didn't believe all you guys about the brojo's Shelby apologetism until I saw it for myself just now, the favoritism is actually crazy
Nonsense. You couldn't be wronger. My boss and the Brojos got it right: Shelby got framed by a corrupt AIU (remember: founded by Coe!!) and the incompetent CAS was helpless.
We need to go back to a standard ban of 2 years, not 4. Reduced to 1 month, if it's a small amount like here. Fair is fair, don't you agree?
Do they continue to test banned athletes throughout their ban?
Yes. The only way they do not test is if the athlete retires. However, in that case, the ban also pauses. For example, if an athlete receives a 4-year ban and decides to "retire" for three of those years thinking he can avoid testing and be back racing in four years, he is mistaken. Since he was not tested during those three "retired" years, the ban was not in effect either. When he "unretires," he will still owe three more years of his ban.
USADA records 16 samples for Houlihan in 2021, 18 in 2022, 9 in 2023, and none yet in 2024.
