I think a lot of sprinters feel this way about Lyles. Seems like usatf/nbc wants to make him the next Allyson Felix by throwing him into all these relays to get medals. Kerley actually has a world medal in the 400 but hasn’t been able to get into this relay even though he’s tried.

Translation: Gosh darn, the last three years I have been kindly and respectfully asking Team USA to be in the 4x400 meter relay. It sure seems like the Netflix documentary they are making about Noah Lyles is the driving factor behind him getting put above everyone else and selected for this relay position. The USA selection team are puppets, no translation needed for that last bit.
