Doesn't seem interesting or fair after Kiptum's gone. Men's marathon has received a hit.
Kipchoge is not young for an elite distance runner. he’s had a marvelous career that is winding down. Can’t keep pushing the limit and breaking WR’s forever. As fans, we’re spoiled.
I'm really interested to see how he will go. He keeps defying Father Time but there just has to be a point when he starts a steep decline. Can he run 2:02 here again? I don't think he'd turn up if he thought he was going to just grind our a 2:04/2:05

well let's see. sponsorship obligations to race relatively regularly (for a marathoner). plus appearance fee. he'd turn up even if he wasn't sure he'd break the magical 3:07 barrier.
I think what happened to him in Boston (because of the hills and weather?) is going to happen more often.
Maybe he found a secret to defy the aging process but I don't think so. I think the recovery aspect of super shoes has helped him stay with it recently.
It'll be interesting to see how Paris goes with the hills in the middle of the race.
