The men might have a tough time in Paris, other than a relay or two. It's uncertain what shape Dressel will be in. There's a newcomer sprinter named Jack Alexy who has a big chance to grab medals and be a relay star. The backstrokes are comparatively weak worldwide, which gives Ryan Murphy and Hunter Armstrong a chance.
Men's distance is phenomenal right now. Incredible depth of talent. The rest of the world has caught on to Bobby Finke's late charging tactics. But that doesn't mean he can't beat them anyway, especially if Ahmed Hafnaoui is not in top form. He was great last year but awful last week, failing to qualify for the final at 400, 800 or 1500.
All I know is someone will set 12 world records.
