I’ve been doing double threshold with a lactate meter for a while now. My lactate levels at the threshold pace have gotten really low that I’m a bit worried that I’m putting too much force on my body. For context I ran 3:56 1500 last summer. I’ve been doing 25x400 off 30 second rest hitting 67’s and measuring 2.5 mmol in lactate. I’m also running 3:04-3:02 1k’s and measuring <2.7 mmol in lactate. I know my meter is right too because my team mates on the session are having normal lactate of 4.5-5 mmol measured on my meter on the sessions we do and they’re 3:54 1500m runners. The effort on the threshold is getting kind of hard too but the lactate levels are still really low. Does anyone have any input on this? Thanks
