Running professionally might be one of the worst decisions a person can make for their lives. Absolutely NO money in it, massive stress and rapidly diminishing returns. All but a tiny handful are essentially anonymous.
I would wager that goofball YouTubers like Kofuzi make far more money than almost all elites out there. They also stand to retain influence and make that $$ over far more years than the elites.
The winner of London makes...wait for it...$45,000. New York? $100,000. Absolute peanuts.
For any elites stupid enough to still be on LRC, how does it feel to know that Kofuzi makes more money for running races than you do?
Parents, train your talented running kids to make video reviews of training, GoPro their races, and do little fan-based training runs with their followers and Patreon account holders. They'll make far more money and make more impact than through racing.
