    Can someone tell me

    1) Why you'd enter the team this early before people really get going indoors ?

    2) Why they wouldn't enter anyone in the 3000?

    Is it a money thing? I sure hope not as they of course are also sending 5 offficials. How about sending a full team? You'd think there would be a lot of athletes dying to go.

    Maybe because none of the current crop of kenyans want to run it? The only kenyans I can list off the top of my head are Jacob Krop and ebenyo

    Harrisons run tonight is proof that running on PURE HATE can make you go crazy fast. Imagine if Bolt had hate, he had maybe 50% hate last year at Beiijing..so not pure, sub 9.4 if he had pure.

    Best guess: You have to hit the qualifying mark (Keter has for instance) or have a high World Ranking (Cheruiyot). If you look at Kenya’s 5K guys (Krop, Kimeli, Kipkirui, Ebenyo, Kemboi), none are doing indoors and all are focusing on the roads/XC. The one exception I’m thinking about is Edwin Kurgat, but he’s probably doing The Ten. So who would you send? This is the issue with having World XC/Indoors in the same year. Ethiopia is going to send a crap XC team and great Indoors one, likely the inverse from Kenya.

    For 3000m only top 15 women and men will be taken based on ranking. Straight final. Not sure how many allowed per country, 2 or 3(?)
