I enjoy some classical music and also feel that much of it sounds the same but I'd say the same about other musical genres. To me most metal sounds the same, country sounds the same, reggae sounds the same...and so on...
Striking a “klinker” chord for effect? Even you must know how ignorant it is to generalize and “genre-ise” like that. Music has no borders. Artistic and technical elements in classical, Jazz, bluegrass, country, rock, folk, and even, God willing, Rap are the same across the board. As you probably know it is nonsensical to dismiss any “type” of music as you have allegedly done. Impossible.

How can you compare something like mumble mumble to actual talent from 200 years ago. And that’s talent without electronics. Even African Americans tried to claim Beethoven as being black a few years ago. It’s insulting to compare this.

Then maybe you hear something that's got a wicked hook or goes off in unexpected directions or is just exciting, and you learn who it is and listen a bit more, and it goes from there.
One thing that turns me on is that it's completely analogue, acoustic and live. When an orchestra is going full-on, every single sound is being made in real time by people working bits of wood and metal, no electronics, editing, midi, etc. A live concert can blow your head off it can be so intense.

Actual talent and technical skill aren't the same thing. 200 years ago, classical music was being pushed as cerebral and sophisticated. That doesn't mean it sounds objectively good. I've been involved with music both as an aficionado and a creator for decades and classical music is one genre that I've not found appealing purely from a "does it sound good to me" point of view. Melodically it never moved me and in general it was dry and boring. What I did appreciate was the skill behind creating it. I thought it was an amazing process and from that point of view it earned my respect. My opinion however is that it's not my cup of tea. So the comparison to hip hop is valid considering that there are people who feel the same way about it, that others feel about classical.

I honestly think the "I don't like something and do not understand how anyone else could possibly like it, the earth revolves around me" threads are worse than all the political ones.
I think it is an acquired taste, especially if you're not used to linear music. My mom almost exclusively listens to classical, so I grew up with it and always enjoyed it even though I don't queue it up that often myself. When I do, it's usually Bach or Mozart. This is my current favorite classical piece. The four harpsichords are mesmerizing and go hard AF.
