Hobbs Kessler looked great!!
But that kick by Wightman looked Kipchoge-esque.
Should Jakob, Yared or Hobbs be worried in Paris?

Why would Hobbs be worried when he won
Ah yes that great kick that brought Wightman from second to *checks notes* second…
Because I said in Paris.

So Wightman looked like a marathon runner in his first race back in over a year, but Kessler looked great in just managing to hold him off?
Who was in Paris? Wrong answers only
Losing today makes him the favorite for Paris?

The assumption is they all make it to Paris.

No ..the kick I saw makes him a realistic threat to other favorites in Paris.

Where did you get that from?

So if the guy who finished last today had the fastest last lap, he would count as a favorite as well?

That was a stupid analysis
Kessler opener, no rust busters.
coming from volume training?
i thought he looked confident and great
He was making up ground from 1300-1450m. He didn't gain on Kessler the final 50m. Not sure what that really means for a race in July but gotta give Kessler some credit for having something in the final 50m
I think this was a good first race for Wightman. The pace really slowed up from 800-1200, so I expected to see a quick last 400. If that was absent, I’d be more concerned. Solid rustbuster.
Hobbs looked great taking the lead and never giving it up. Hoping he can stay hungry for leading up to the trials.
Wightman's first race after a year of injury. Nice to see his kick is still there and he's running well straight away. He'll be back under 3:30 by the summer
Hobbs didn't even look tired. He'll run sub 3:30 this year.
USA finals are going to be insane, Yared, Hobbs, Hocker, Teere it might take a sub 3:30 to make the team.
Wightman has a great kick, we all remember his Worlds victory over Jakob summer of 2022. But all the credit goes to Hobbs for a well executed race and win for today, we will focus on Paris in a few months
