What’s the point of having a distinction like men’s/womens record if you can’t be consistent with it?

In the case of the men’s record it doesn’t need to be specified as a men’s record because no other person , male or female has run that fast .

It's called a style point. A turn of phrase that is used by default when writing copy.

No one cares but you all. It’s a record. They probably asked Nikki at some point, you know, did some journalism… and then ran with that in a title. You’re just lazy because you have to use on extra thought to recognize they mean women’s running since no one wrote it for you.

No one takes Citius seriously any way. Embarrassing to say the least. Trash reporting -with their little track favorites.

You should contact the USATF, and inform them that Hiltz is not eligible to run in the women’s division.

I've been following Nikki since they ran in high school. They've always had that kick. I've never seen them look so fit. They use to carry a little bit of body fat, but they look really lean now. This whole "they, them, she, her" thing seems a little silly to me, but if that's what they want... that's what I'll do. I know it really matters to them because their mother (who I use to run across in the park) and her old high school coach use the they, them thing. Just because I don't understand it doesn't mean I won't respect their wishes. Words matter. I would never use the "N" word for example. I know...Weak example.
