Good Indoor Tracks in US

The new track that just opened in Indianapolis is supposed to be nice. The track in Winston-Salem, NC claims to be the "fastest unbanked track in the country."

Grand Valley State - 300m with great spectating. Track doesn't "feel" that fast though

Do people like that W-S track?

Does the Notre Dame track have enough fan seating? I was under the impression it only held about 300 ppl

Not great seating but as oversized track, the entire infield is open. They could have seating the entire final straight if they wanted like some 300 meter tracks do. But it can hold 1500 under current setup.

To claim fastest flat track falls into the category of "race walking". To claim fastest track, its usually based on the number of record performances. Bislett Stadium, Tyson indoor at Arkansas etc...but still of standard lengths and specifications. All those 300, 320, 270 odd distances shouldnt even be mentioned. Albuquerque is fast for sprinters but not distance.

Never been, but the UW Dempsey track seems to produce good results.

An underrated track because of it's proximity to NB and BU is Harvard's track. Nicely banked, easy to get to, nice location, decent seating for fans. I'd say the same about the Reggie Lewis track in Boston, but they basically only hold high school meets and younger these days. Ocean Breeze indoor track in NYC is superior to the Armory for competing and spectating - it's just way out on Staten Island and like Reggie Lewis, is mostly for high school and youth.

Penn State, Navy, Nebraska, Spire (OH) all come to mind and havent' been mentioned yet.

There's a new 200m Mondo track at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, FL. Opened last winter. Hosts college, HS, and youth events.

Nice track, disappointed with the turnout with the meet last weekend. The biggest downfall is its surrounded by a high crime area and chances of someone getting shot or robbed outside the venue is high.

Nice track, but in a terrible part of the city.

Pretty good list. ETSU's track is like 309 meters or something. Not sure if they still host a meet.

Harvard's track is banked too, similar to the armory.

U of Maine is building a 300 meter track but it won't be operational this year.

These are good tracks to run at if you're shooting for an indoor pr. Albuquerque is at moderate altitude though so keep that in mind.

Is it just me, or do Indoor tracks seem to be booming right now. Besides all that have already been mentioned, several are in the works to be built in the next several years.
