Last year I failed my goal to run sub 1:40 for a half with a 1:46. Held pace through 10 miles but didn't have the endurance built to finish it.
In between then and now I upped mileage and ran several 5ks, with a PR each time. 9 days ago I ran a 20:21.
2 days ago I did a workout of 2 mile warmup, 10 miles at 7:16/mi (planned to be 7:25/mi but felt strong), followed by a short jog and some strides. Overall was 13.1 in 1:40:31. The 10 miles was moderately challenging, like I was cruising the whole time.
The past 8 weeks I've averaged 33-34 mpw, last week was 40. Race is in 6 weeks. What should I shoot for?
