I'm a 74 y/o male who's been running for 40+ years. Now, I run four days a week for only about 3 miles per run. I've been using Hoka Bondis for years and found them to be great. After straining my left thigh muscle, I picked up a pair of Wave Riders 25s based on suggestions to increase my heel drop. Now that my thigh's healed after 3 weeks of using an elliptical, I'm trying the Mizunos, but found them lacking in toe box cushioning. They slap the pavement pretty hard. Although I'm healed, I'd rather go back to Bondis. What do you think? Would I be better off swapping the Mizuno insoles for something more cushioned (if so, which insole)? Thanks!
