After reading the Abdi thread, it is clear that some on this message board have misconceptions about the state of US men's marathoning. While I know the US is a literal mile behind the record holders and we have nowhere near the depth of the Kenyans/Ethiopians, the historic depth is unquestionable. No one is going to make the 2024 Team if they have even an off day.
