This seems to be a stream of a pickup truck - is it the same for anyone else?
why the f do they have live street noise + helicoptor noise overlayed over the commentary? i can't hear a thing and id rather hear des than some dog barking or wooooooooooooo for the whole time
even better - the video feed of the women's race is a video of the truck... what amateur hour!
Honestly Citius Mag can do 57 think pieces about how gambling or running races in shopping malls will finally "save running", but the absolutely dogs*** streaming that we get served at every single large road race (often US based and bungled by pathetic news organisations doing vox pops rather than following the race) is why people dont care about running.
Amateur hour as per today.
The extraneous noise on the local ABC feed is ridiculous. It seems every running broadcast is ruined by either dumb commenters, horrible camera angles, ill-timed commercials, or in today's case, unnecessary and avoidable background noise.
Good to see Estrada pushing the pace.
Diego Estrada 14:17 through 5K. Pretty quick.
This feed is honestly unbelievable. Goes to show how much nobody cares about running producing a dogsh!t feed like this. I could ride next to the pack on a bike and produce better with my iPhone
Whoever's in charge of the sound mixing needs some more training. Trying to include some background noise from the motos for ambiance is fine, but it needs to be low in the mix instead of equal to or louder than the announcers. This is TV 101, mistakes happen but something like this should be resolved within a few minutes maximum.
Obiri through 5k in 15:16

ABC usually does a very professional job televising the race. Not sure what happened this year.
LOL the conversation between the moto driver and camera man about upcoming speedbumps is much more audible than the announcers

American record pace.
The feed is fixed, I had no idea Des was calling this race.
How’s the wind in Houston, looks like it will be a factor today.
