Top ten cities for trail running?

I'd think the answer would vary a lot from person to person and what they are looking for themselves. If they are looking for a good racing scene, lots of runners, and technical trails, their list might be different from the list above.

I live in Boston suburbs and only run on trails, except for the 0.33 miles it takes to get to one from my house. I'd think it would take longer to get to a trail if living in the middle of Salt Lake City, and the trail wouldn't be as challenging on the footwork.

i live in vegas so im biased but the entire city is surrounded by mountains, there are a million trails everywhere, a vibrant running community, a bunch of trail races throughout the year, and great running weather aside from summer where you can headlamp it up at night anyway. really good city for trail running & there are a lot of group trail runs - join us!

Missoula of all places!
