I have 800 miles on mine right now and they are still holding up. If light weight trainers are right for you I don't think you should pound them down quickly. I focus on running light and quick with every step. All my shoes wear down in the upper before they ever feel pounded out through the midsole. Side note: I used to have to wear NB 991s with orthotics (no longer need these either) about 6 years ago because of foot problems. After focusing on toe curls, toes spreads, and picking things up with my toes I feel comfortable in neutral light weight shoes. So much nicer!
Dude, how many miles a week do you run? How many miles per run? You "focus on running light and quick with every step"- what the hell is that? Are you running 8 minute miles, where you can spend time thinking about this?? I'm assuming you are just doing some easier mileage. No offense intended, just curious to hear what type of training you are doing with this mindset...
