Coffee Club is going to surpass Citrus Mag by the Olympics and acquire it after. It's happening in 2024.

What's the high level synopsis of what Elise said about leaving Bowerman and did she address Shelby?

High level synopsis: nothing juicy or earth shattering . . . simply felt burnt out . . . going so far as stating she entertained thoughts of retirement . . . left BTC on good terms with everyone . . . currently living at home with her family but looking for a place to live . . . very happy with current Team Boss setup . . . focus is on getting the 14:52 Oly Q . . . no racing schedule at this point . . . but if she feels she's in good enough shape, she may enter an upcoming BU meet . . .

To call this an honest interview is just clickbait. She was mostly pretty vague about things. I didn’t walk away from listening with anything new other than she was considering retiring and she’s living with her parents at the moment.

Honest interview? Is the bar that low? Asking questions like how was your Christmas/New Years and are you happy with living at home with your parents?

NOTHING was stated or asked about main reasons for everyone leaving Bowerman or how all of that went down. Don't get your hopes up people.

Did somebody say steak?

The only semi-interesting thing from my perspective, which could be nothing, is when the guys asked her about what it was like having three coaches at Bowerman with Jerry, Shalane, and Solinsky, and how things were split up, etc. In her answer she specifically talked about Jerry and Chris but never once mentioned Shalane's name. Now, maybe Shalane has more of a focus on the Oregon team, but I still thought it was noteworthy that Elise didn't acknowledge her at all.

Its obvious none of the people want to talk as to why they left because, apart from liking teammates, there was little else for them to like - and it all started with Shelby and Jerry then the list like having to move to Eugene, lack of attention, etc. mounted. Probably felt ripped off

Let these amazing athletes train and compete and leave them alone about the BTC and Nike stuff.

If I were one of the BTC athletes that has left and they were corned by some two-bit “journalist” I would walk away or even point the question back to the person interviewing and as them some stupid questions about why they have left companies, personal relationships or some other garbage.

Pros are friends with each other. They talk with each other. So they know who’s doing what, who’s cheating, who’s doing grey area things, who’s in a bad relationship, etc.

Pros don’t like journalists, they don’t like to always spill their personal life everywhere. They don’t care if you have a problem with it or not.

This how it be. They’re all acquaintances of buddies and the people on the boards are the ones who aren’t fast enough that are left out. That’s how it be. How it will always be. Distances runners by nature aren’t super extroverts. This sport requires you to spend energy in a way to where you are focused and dialed in on yourself.
