I am looking to improve my PRs in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and 5k(both track and CC). I understand that for the 800m, most people will choose a more aggressive spike, like the Nike vics or Saucony cheetah. However, I want something a little softer for the longer distance. I have found a handful of spikes designed for longer distances, and I want to know which of them are better for picking up the pace for an 800m(or maybe even the occasional 400m).
I would like to hear any reccomendations you have. Please, don't recommend or discourage any that you haven't run in yourself or aren't prepared to provide research for.
My list so far(based on my limited knowledge):
Nike Dragonfly (default if no other, all of my friends use them.)
Saucony Terminal VT (have had good experiences with Saucony shoes, hear pretty good things about this spike.)
On Cloudspike 10,000 (never worn On shoes before, but I have heard good things about them, and have found that On-sponsored athletes use the 10,000 for everything from 800 to 10k.)
Hoka Cielo LD (the one I'm least likely to buy(but still considering), recommendation I saw on another letsrun thread.)
Your help is greatly appreciated.
