I have to race the 1200 this weekend on the dmr. I have a 1500 pr of 4:08 and 800 of 2:04. I was thinking of trying to hit a 3:15 1200. Is this reasonable? Any advice on tactics/pacing?

It depends on where you get the stick. I don't know your training but if you haven't been doing a lot of speed I would say 3:20 is more realistic. plus, when did you get those PRs. If they are from last outdoor while peaking they aren't that helpful. When I run the 1200 (which has only been twice) I try to go out a little slower and rip the 800. I'm a distance guy though.
Your 1500m pr is 3:18.4 1200m pace, so 3:15 seems pretty reasonable. You're a strength runner based on those times, so even splits of 32.5/200m is the best (If you get out in 31 accidently though, don't slow down to 34 though and then try to accelerate. Hold your rhythm, and brace for a hard second half.)
The 1200 leads off so i'll have direct comp.
