Who do yall have picked for the 4x800? Most of the big names are likely off the season, MW looking like the top team, and although they only return one of their runners from last year they had a phenomenal cross season.
Rodriguez-Perez - 1:58 (outdoor). Also 5th runner for XC.
G Catherwood - 1:59 (outdoor)
Jibb - 2:10 (indoor). Top 2 for MW XC
Belmont - 2:04 (outdoor) (as a freshman!)
Golio - 2:07 (outdoor). Top 2 for MW XC
D Ryan - 2:13 outdoor. But he was their #3/4 runner during XC so he probably improved from that
Last XC season, Jibb, Golio, Catherwood, and Ryan were their top 4, but there was a big gap after that. Rodriguez-Perez was their 5th all season, but his 800 is very solid

Virginia Beach HS Opener Saratoga NY 3200 times Darren Pasek - 11 - 9:36 Brent Pasek - 9 - 10:16 So Saratoga has a solid top 4 for next XC season - Isenovski, Blaisdell, Pasek 1, Pasek 2. If they can find a 5th runner for next year, they have a good shot at NXN. Monroe Woodbury will be a favorite in the NY region, and the second NXR spot is looking to be a toss-up between Ithaca and Saratoga.
You know... for a guy who had aspirations of being national-class in XC, what the heck is he doing running in a meaningless indoor meet so soon after NXN? Let alone doubling?

Lots of sections have rules about how many meets you have to participate in prior to the state qualifier.
Something strange... a freshman girl who ran one XC meet for FM in September, is now running for Nottingham.
Wow, they really are running out of talent. Now the girls team is only return 4 under 19:20 for 5k for next year. 5th returner time was 21:59. Qualifying for the state meet might not be a lock for them next year because injuries can happen too.
Saratoga is another team that returns some good 800 times. Charles Dybala - 1:55 Jacob Bernd - 1:56 Owen Blaisdell - 1:59 Other good XC runners that could maybe put up a good 800 time - Isenovski, Dacey, Brandriss, Shaw, D Pasek

He probably wants to redeem himself after a disappointing NXN performance

Isenovski ran 4:22 last year and put together a pretty wild cross season, likely he could add another 1:55 or lower to that mix.
