Are times ran on flat, 200m tracks at these distances equivalent to a slightly faster time on wider, 400m track outdoors? I ask because I use race equivalent calculators like macmillan during indoor to predict my times at other races. I became curious that since I was using an indoor 1000 time to predict possibly 800/1500m times, that it was giving me times for indoor 800s and 1500s, not outdoor ones, which may be a few seconds faster? I sure it is not more than a few seconds difference if any, but I was just curious if anyone had stumbled across an indoor-to-outdoor conversion formula for mid-distances, because sometimes one or two seconds can mean a whole lot in track.
