Goal is to get close to my time as a junior (2:14 after about 3 months of less than 30 miles per week in my first 800 with splits of 1:03 and 1:11) 15 years ago with minimal mileage / sessions.
Weekly Program:
Session 1 - 10 miles easy (fast end of Daniels E pace) including 10 x 30 sec reps at race pace with 30 sec jog recovery
Session 2 - Push ups, abdominal crunches, squats (30 reps each, no weight)
Session 3 - Repeat Session 1
Session 4 - Repeat Session 2
6 weeks of build up to this training, 14 weeks of this training with a time trial at the end, 6 weeks of training break, repeat twice per year.
What do you think? Will I be able to break 2:15/2:10/2:05/2:00? Thanks in advance!
