Bob is just training no issues…. he has a legit shot and if they race Bob he has to sacrifice training. My prediction is top (4) at Nats!!!!

What? why would he not run at his home course at Nuttycombe? Sure he could be top 5 at Ncaa if he runs a great race but why wouldn’t he get the experience running against the best college guys at his home course?

Big Bob fan, less so the way Byrne has handled him. Wisconsin has very mediocre competition on the conference and Regional level on the men's side; no heroic efforts really needed there. Seems very reasonable to have him skip Loyola, run big at Nutty, then through and just go as needed the next two meets, and be ready to roll at NCAAs.
Hoping to see some great stuff from him this year & especially next year at NCAAs at home, but curious how much improvement there has been in the last 2 years. In October of '21, he was 5th at Nutty, with 3 of the 4 in front of him being Kiptoo, Teare, and Hicks (he beat Ky Robinson that day); then followed that up by putting away Olin Hacker (NCAA 5k Champ that year), Jonathan Davis (2nd at USA 1500m that year), and Morgan Beadlescomb (5th at NCAA XC's, 2nd at both indoor & outdoor NCAAs) at Big Tens. Hope they get the timing better, but excited to see if Bob, like so many recent Badger men, takes a big step forward after he leaves Mick.
