Where 1k / 1m splits for majors come from?
As I understand checking Chicago there are basically 5k and HM mats only. Though all is officially "unofficial". Who has access to official results, if any?
For Berlin this specialist German company provides "Live Leading Group" 1k splits though they differ for Assefa from splits published by
Track & Field News, which are named "Unofficial Live Hand-Timed Splits for Women’s Leader. Berlin Pace Display Team — Helmut Winter, Colin Winter and Sean Hartnett".
For Chicago the same company provides its timing services (or at least website) but without "Live Leading Group" feature. Not configured / not paid for Chicago?
However Gault has access to mile splits in his article. Also T&F News, though they figured it out beter which splits were the most interesting with 32–37k of 13:35, including "some tailwind and some downhill" (Gault merely emphasized "13:51 from 30k to 35k" though maybe it was more "official"?) . But where these splits were from?
