I was lucky enough to pick up one of Kelvin's bottles that he dropped on the road. Anyone think it would be worth anything?

The marathon is too niche to get the big collectors interested in spending. Is there someone who loves running enough to pay a few hundred for it? Maybe. A few thousand? I'm already getting doubtful.
Also, do you have proof of provenance? Like video evidence that it's the same bottle he dropped?

Go full creepy with it and send an anonymous sample off to a few of those sports dna testing labs and chuckle at the results they come back with. “Average responder” “may benefit from more anaerobic stimulus” “30% Irish background”
Thanks for keeping Chicago's street clean.
1. get all the surveillance video from the area you picked it up to show that it was indeed the world record water bottle;
2. get bottle tested to prove it's Kiptum's DNA;
3. market the water bottle throughout the world. Press conferences in all major cities. News programs from around the world. Have actors/celebrities take pictures with the water bottle.
4. Have Christies or Sotheby's auction off the water bottle to the most avid running fans in the world.
Having all the true running fans in the same place, all bidding on the same bottle, you should expect to sell it for between $3.50 and $10. That should be good enough to buy a brand new water bottle. Score!!!!
Is this WR bottle or WR vial???
If you can also get the WR Vial, I'll pay premium to have both the WR Bottle and Vial mounted together. They'll look fantastic next to my super shoes and Kennedy & Jasari spikes.
At least $12
I'll give you $20 plus shipping!

Unlikely considering at least an hour and a half of the two hour race was focused on the wheelchair race or spectators on the course
it says his name on it. It says 15k aid station

Idk. Give it a suck and tell us if it meets your expectations.
Bump. So did you sell it or no?

Get his DNA from that bottle first before you sell it.
That could be worth much more in the future when we clone sub 1:30 Marathoners from great DNA sources.
