If I run 6 days a week following a training plan, sometimes doing doubles, but am really slow (easy pace is 11-13 min miles) am I a runner or a hobby jogger?

U r both. They are not mutually exclusive.
A hobby jogger is someone who runs for the enjoyment of it. A professional is someone who gets paid to run.

A hobbyjogger is a type of duck billed purple platypus..
Is running your primary source of financial support? If not, HJ. Don't take it personally.
This. Also isn’t limited to pros. Youtubers who run to make content and monetize off it aren’t jogging for a hobby, neither is the journalist who may be running to stay in shape so they can do a running interview with x pro.

Right, influencers can be professional hobby joggers.
Last I checked this wasn’t “letsjog.com”. I thought letsRUN.com was a forum for runners
I’m confused. Isn’t the term ‘jog’ just a form of running, meaning ‘relaxed running at a steady pace’? I.e. one person’s jogging pace (say 6:30 mile pace) is another person’s race pace
Only a handful of elite runners qualify as elites. Then you're only a real runner if you're a D1 All American, either as an individual or National XC Championship team. Everyone else is a hobby jogger except for you who has been putting in some great mileage and ready for your big breakthrough race where you'll qualify for the Olympic Trials.

Definitely. Not even that maybe. 99% of the posters here are one too including me.
