I feel like it should be closer to the track champs in order to have the top athletes showing up. Even a month or two before that would be ok imho

Bump.
For reference - Worlds were that late in Doha 2019 as well (9/27-10/6/19) and the diamond league final was contested before worlds with the last DL meet being at Brussels on 9/6/19.
If the World Road Champs are in early October again they would be only 1.5 weeks after Worlds ended.
