I know it's tiring having so many super shoe threads so I was going to hold off, but I figure there'll never be the right time to ask. Apologies if this has been covered often before.
I wanted to understand people's perspective on whether or not they do their workouts in super shoes (presuming you race in them)?
I appreciate training in them may aid recovery and help avoid some injuries, I also know that some people are starting to believe that training in them actually causes (different) injuries. But putting injuries aside:
Q: Is it 1. more beneficial to train in normal flats so that a) your legs get the true muscular development from the impact on the ground, and b) you get a nice little race-day boost putting the shoes on? or 2. better to train in super shoes to reduce impact on your legs to train for longer / more frequently to maximise your aerobic development?
I have been someone who has raced in them but never trained in them, as I presumed it was better to get the [more] natural physical stimulus. Happy to be linked to any journals/studies people know of on benefits of either.
