So far in life I have tried to have my romantic relationships to be mostly partnerships, and it honestly just has not worked. I have a woman in my life right now who adores me and is super submissive, like, she basically is totally happy and content to let me be dictator in the relationship and in our life together if we were to have a life together, and I'm honestly considering it. The reason is that everything in my life is going really well as I am really good at taking care of all the standard life stuff (money, fitness, career, planning trips, friends, etc). A lot of past women in my life have really messed up these things and often created a lot of drama and fighting basically for no reason. This girl doesn't want to fight. She just wants to love me and do whatever I want.

Anyone been in a relationship like this?

Yes and it's great. Once in a while you wonder if it would be better to have a strong independent partner, blah, blah, nah.

I’ve always thought of myself as powerful. I’m financially secure, very fit, and respected by my peers in my profession. But a new relationship has me in the unaccustomed position of being the one with much less power. That won’t make me submissive, will it? I’m used to being the chief decision-maker..

I have been in relationships like this. Do not assume that this is cemented in stone. Is she a bit younger than you? These dynamics can be quite fluid and she may not always adore you. When the woman adores you and acts like she cannot live without you, to me it can be a red flag. Well good luck.
