Problem with twitter is it's supposed to be to your 30 friends, but it's going out to everyone. That said, it's not like Kipchoge's gonna read that tweet.
Kipchoge often says cheesy things (although I think occasionally profound things too). My guess is that cultural differences is part of the reason that his wannabe-inspirational quotes strike me as cheesy (and Reid and other Americans), but that's a normal part of cultural difference, not something to criticize.
Please refrain from judgment if you think loser is spelled "looser". Don't even attempt to call this a typo. Sadly, you are one of the people out there incapable of spelling the word loser, which automatically makes you a loser.
This is exactly what I would expect from all 3 people involved. 1. Kipchoge attempts to motivate. It may or may not be your cup of tea but Kipchoge is trying to be a good guy. 2. Reid I will never pass of an opportunity to be a loud mouth no it all. 3. Des always takes biotch behind the scenes approach. Passive aggressive
I’ve won 8 marathons in my life time and no where near the speed of Kipchoge and have inspired thousands of runners that I knew during that time. This man that made this quote has been at a higher level then me but still hasn’t figured out sportsmanship and that it’s rather confusing and concerning. Hell I’d love to be as fast as Kipchoge and some of these other runners but I’ll never put them down for things they say….. Kipchoge is more of a man that almost 100% of the human population. He truly is an athlete but above all he is a stand out human being and respected amongst athletes and non athletes
This is upsetting. Why attack Kipchoge when your beef is against the new Women’s WR?
Reid’s PR (in an orchestrated time trial) is seconds ahead of the Women’s world record.
Desi’s PR is ten minutes behind.
People can say what they want. He said “give me a break” because Kipchoge is a fake person. He uses PEDs and then says some phony crap about his happiness comes from inspiring someone else. Eliud is phony as fucc. He races for the glory and money, and not necessarily in that order. But he somehow, as phony as he is, seems more likable than Lance Armstrong. Now some of you losers can disagree with me. It is all good.
Let's not pretend it wasn't one of the most entertaining, bad ass, memorable wins we've ever been able to see. She felt like crap and almost dropped out, she sacrificed herself to allow Shalane to have someone to run with after a pit stop, she was almost out of it until she wasn't, the weather added an exciting obstacle that allowed us to see one of the grittiest performances ever which is a nice break every once in a while from the inevitable top contender/time trialing we so often inevitability see.
Des has turned more toxic on twitter. Not sure if NBC/peacock still hires her to do commentary but I'm going to light up nbcsports/peacock/etc.. on twitter referencing every rude remark she makes on twitter. I want to get her removed. She seems like a bitter, sarcastic woman.
Look I basically agree with them, Kipchoge is a fast runner but nobody was inspired by his 2:02, he was inpsired by the giant $$$ paycheck he picked up, and furthermore, perhaps Reid and Des know something else that we don't

Hence the problem. This statement perfectly describes both Reid and Des.
