I'm training towards my 3rd marathon and am in the best shape of my life.
But what's slightly worrying is that I (or rather my guts) have developed a need to take a dump during my long run workouts.
Previously, it was a very rare occurrence, maybe once every two months or so. But more recently in this training block, I would say almost 70-80% of my long runs are interrupted by some sort of loose stools / diarrhea. I usually do my long run without breakfast or coffee and try as much as I can to empty my guts before I leave the house. But it's not helping so far
My race is 5 weeks away - any thoughts on how I can avoid this on race day?
