For a HS girl, (Distance - 800 - 1600 - 3200) what are realistic times the athlete would need to have to have a pretty good chance of being recruiteed and recieving at least some scholarship money for most colleges? Not necessarily the top running teams, but lets say the other 90 percent of the D1, or even D2 or D3 schools?
My thoughts would be;
Certainly wll get looked at:
800 - 2:12, Sub 4:49 1600, 10:40 3200
Outside chance
2:20 - 800, 5:20 - 1600, 11:00 - 3200 - These might be D2 times.

LOL, no. Girls can be recruited to many smaller programs with much slower times. In fact we had a girl graduate this year that is on a full scholarship to a CC with PRs of 250, 550, 1215. She had classmates that are running at d1 and d2 schools with prs in the 520s and mid 11s.
We have a girl this year being recruited to a d2 with prs of 530, 1150, and 2000XC.
