Fist fight on mile 7. Matt Fox wins (for not so obvious reasons) and then DNFs because of gastro issues from all the fueling that he's doing.
Fox shoulder checks Bester into the Brandenburg gate squeaking out a sub 2:20.
The welsh runner dabs on them both

Lol, in his dreams. No chance.
What's the backstory behind these two? Were they once besties turned mortal enemies because of a woman? Something else? Just two random shoetubers?

there is only room for one fraudster in town, that’s why they had a fallout
Matt fox- 2:20:01 goes out quick then cramps. At the finish line he whines and sexual harasses the elite female field
Fox has put in 8(?) decent weeks up at altitude in Kenya, Bester has bonked on most of his longer workouts and recent HM was 2mins+ slower than his PR.
I think Fox has a good shot at 2:19, Bester will suffer in the final 4M again and end up with 2:22ish, and then the reality that Fox went sub2:20 will make his head implode on the streets of Berlin
Final Results:
Fox: 2:24:54 (net)
Bester: 2:22:12

Bester crying on his IG story both pre and post race, but in his strava caption makes it seem like he's not too bothered.
Fox originally titles his Strava with a donut emoji, now changes the caption to say he doesn't know where to go from here, but also posted on his IG story that he's off to Chicago and Valencia
Both leave Berlin devastated.
PS - Welsh Runner on pace for 2:24 blows up and finishes 2:31, completely expectedly.
Like a poster above said: how many in the women’s field did Matt Fox sexually harass though? That’s what his fans really want to know.
Do you think Fox stopping at mile 15 to send a dozen harassing emails to other runners hurt his time…?
According to IG and now his latest Strava caption, Matt Fox now doing Chicago next week and aiming for 2:30. God knows why, and can surely only end poorly
