That’s only slightly higher than Jakob’s 120mpw…hope it’s enough

Galen has dropped off the face of the Earth it seems. Either he's about to have a dismal performance, injuries turning permanent, or he is going to amaze everyone, like when KB ran 2:03 after years of injuries and subpar performances.
Too bad the great Alberto Salazar is no t coach9ng him anymore he probably would still be running 205s. He was probably capable of 203 if you consider his track times and accolades plus his marathon success.

or he's been in and out of injury, and is hoping for a really nice stretch of training just now in the lead-up and could be in 2:10 shape hoping to improve.
Instagram reels that show him working out seem pretty promising, his form is back to being what it was pre injuries from the looks of things. As much as I don't want it to be the case he is probably reaching the twilight of his career, he may have a great day at Chicago and run a PB but I think those days of running 2:06 low are behind him.
Everytime I think of Jingy and all of the wonderful interviews and insights he gives us, I also think of Rupp because...well...he is the exact opposite.
Galen Rupp will pop a 2:05 any day now.
