My usual spot is 10 min away but there’s some pretty nice parks with great long trails about 30-40 min away that I used to run back in the day. What’s the furthest you guys will drive for a long run vs your usual spot?

I used to drive from inland San Diego to Dana Point because not only did Dana have great flats, it also had steep hills
My usual rule is that the total time spent running needs to exceed to the roundtrip driving time. But exceptions are made, particularly if I'm meeting a friend to run.
My rule is that one-way can’t exceed the run time. Round trip can’t exceed the bike ride time. Vacations excluded, obviously. Since I really only seek destinations for long runs 2-3hrs and rides 4-5hrs it’s pretty easy to stay within the rule.

Usual spot- from the house.
Long Run- I’ve driven up to 50 minutes for a LR road with the bois. Probably only ran up to 1:50 max but the views and smell of nature makes it worth it.
run
I live near Denver and will sometimes drive 90 minutes to get some high elevation running in. There’s some great stuff close by too, but sometimes I want to really wreck the lungs and quads.
