Before? Maybe 48 hours. After, ASAP.
I mean to feel recovered for the race, Ive got a pretty hard session 1 week out and a sharpener 3-4days out
I wouldn't do it too close to the race. I think they are quite draining.
Yeah for the sauna at least 2-3 days out. You're gonna sweat & will need to rehydrate. Ice bath is fine the night before if you're used to it but I typically do stuff like this mid-week.
