Why would it help? The guys who have a shot to win will be faster than that anyway. Disregarding all disscussion of the value of elitism, midpackers, frontpackers, gallowalkers, etc....Do you really think that Meb and Culpepper will train harder and run 2:05 if the USATF standerd is 2:14?
