According to this article she ran at the University of Kansas for a number of years and then became an agronomical engineer and worked for a number of years in that position spending eight hours a day at the computer and in the article it's stated that at one point a light bulb went off and she did not see herself working in front of the computer for eight hours a day for the rest of her life and so she returned to Mexico to become a high level athlete.

The article says she spends eight hours a day in training between running training, gymnastics and other endeavors.

It is also mentioned that she was discovered at the age of 10 in the city of Guanajuato Mexico.

She is a monster. Wow. Now that is a monster.

She was running decent times up until around 2018 and then break through around 2019 to 2021, when she drastically improved her 800/1500 to 2:07/4:10. Before that she hovered around 2:12/4:30, 16:30-17:00, for many years.

Last year her best time for the 3000 meters outdoors was 840 in Eugene so this was a 12 second improvement. Monster Mejico!

She's peaking at age 31-32.

Latinos reading this please given information about who is her coach and what type of training she does? Does she have any connection to Rodolfo Gomez (2:09:0/1983), the famous Mexican coach who produced in recent years so many great Peruvian and Bolivian runners?

I think Galvan runs substantial mileage in winter so not sure about JS's contribution. J.S. is a good fit for quality runners in the 50-70mpw bracket, people like Dr Yann Schrub (13:11/27:47) perhaps. He might also be a good fit with Hassan Chahdi (1:01/2:08) also low mileage, who usually does his second mileage of the day.... on a bike....

I think this Mexican lady, Galvan, is legit, but what amazes me is her transformation from 4:30/16:30-17:00/34:00/35:00, mid twenties to 8:28/14:44 at age 31. That's unusual.
