Brazier is the only one I can think of. Why aren't there more?

Why doesn't Nuguse count?

Y not?
The answer is genetics and culture
But those two still count as black IMO

No idea
Blacks dominate football and basketball at the pro level. These are the glamour sports with more financial opportunity. Black kids grow up idolizing these star athletes. Black kids are more likely to stick with those sports even when they are not excelling in them because they feel more comfortable being around other blacks than hanging out with some nerdy white boys in short shorts. In America running has always been dominated by upper-middle class kids who had an easier time accepting they wouldn’t accomplish as much in other sports.
bc distance running in US is comprised of racist white people. The black folk are made to feel unwelcomed. It's sad, really.
Lol. Look at the Olympic distance medalists. Not all, but most are African born
Probably because there aren't that many American born black people. Then you need to take into account cultural influence on what sport someone will play/do
But there are a lot more African Americans than Kenyan immigrants
Cuz they are playing football, basketball or mostly any other sport that pays more.

OK, a few decades back I ran in college and at my best I was a 30:00 and change 10K type. Pretty good I guess but I never claimed to be a superstar. I grew up with this skinny black guy who was one month older than me. We lived one street over, and we would run about 4-6 miles together (ages 10-13). We were competitive on those unstructured runs. On some days he was really tough and it felt like he had my number. I think he could have been a really good sub-30 10K type runner. Instead he played a lot of basketball, he was more in his social comfort zone with that. Running was just not something he really wanted to do. And like I said, he was "good" like a 29-minute 10K runner in terms of potential, but he was not "try out for the Olympic Team" good so he probably thought why bother?
Most african Americans are of west African heritage. West Africans are less genetically disposed to be good distance runners (you don’t see many Nigerian, Cameroonian runners). Instead, they are good sprinters.
the Africans that are good runners are generally East Africans, and there are fewer African Americans of these heritages.
Simple.
West Africans vs East Africans.
Look up what each is best at in athletics and you'll see your answer right away.

Because distance running demands discipline and dedication. In comparison, natural talent is the only requirement for American football and basketball. People tend to take easy choice.
B/c third string in football and bench warmer in b-ball makes more money than Olympic gold medalist.

Performance in all those sports is far more subjective, thus easier for Black Privilege to get away with selecting and advancing inferior black athletes, at every level, while supressing whites in particular. The only way to "cheat" in running is with drugs, which East Africans were allowed to do. Without Black Supremacy, whites would make up more than their demographic percentage, not far far less.
It's racial segregation, going both ways but black athletes are the ones who lose the most. In high school most sprinters are black and most distance runners are white. The exception to this are the middle distance races. Why does NC State not have any black females on the XC team or running distance on the track team? Why do middling US university running programs recruit middling black runners from Africa instead from the US? As the level of competition rises the numbers of African American runners fall, and the only explanation I can see is that they are filtered out at each level.

which genes, supposedly?
