I need to improve my 400 this year (Junior) was very uneventful I ran a season best of 52.4 when my PR from sophomore year is 51.92. I was very motivated and I ran XC over summer and fall and then trained for track over winter but I didn’t run good at all and I didn’t even pr and Then at the end of this season I got injured and couldn’t run on my teams relays at state. I’m very frustrated and this year will be my last year of high school and I’m trying to run under 50 for the 400 I know I can do it but I don’t know how. 800m PR 2:08 200m PR 23.4 100m PR 11.8 I don’t know if I should train for more speed or lift more because I haven’t lifted at all for about 10 months. I don’t know if my race strategy is right and I don’t know if I should focus on 400m and 800m because I think I could become a good 800m runner if I actually trained for it and I think it would help my 400m. Really I have no idea what to do so if anyone could help that would be great.
