My daughter will be a senior in track next Spring and there were recent coaching departures because of disagreements over the high number of injuries. Unfortunately, current coaches are solid with the AD and there won't be any replacement coaches next year.
She is not a D1 phenom or anything but is using track as an alternative means to get into a good academic school if she can't get in based on her other merits.
Is it worth going the club sports route vs going high school and risking injury? There won't be as many track meet opportunities until summer approaches, but many colleges pick up their athletes fairly late in the season.
