How long did it take you to improve your 5km time from 23 minutes to under 20 minutes, and what efforts did you make?
As an adult male with standard body weight and years of regular running habits, my monthly running volume usually ranges between 150-220km.
Currently, I have gradually improved my 5km personal best to around 23 minutes but have reached a plateau.
So, I would like to ask everyone if you have encountered similar plateau.
And, what was your 1000m time before training for 5km?
It seems that those who had good 1000m times tend to make faster progress in the 5km.
For instance, my best 1000m time is 3:50, but I am stuck at 23 minutes for 5km.
